 Sanyo develops chipsets for DVD-R/RW recording

Message Text: Sanyo Semiconductors announced a new high frequency circuit IC for the DVD-R/RW format with the codename "SMA4203" shiping this Octomber samples at the price of 300 Yen. Mass production planned so start from April of 2002 with monthly output 100.000 pieces. The IC chipset can be used at DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD-RAM, DVD-RW and DVD+RW, DVD player and at optical pickups (MD and CD-RW).
