LG Electronics on Tuesday announced that its new flagship smartphone, the LG V30, will be showcased later this month, and will come with features including high-end camera and video capabilities.
LG said the showcase event for the device, the successor of the V20 released last year, will be held in Berlin on Aug. 31 at 9:00 a.m. (Berlin time), and it will be aired through YouTube, as well as social media platforms.
The company said the 6-inch LG V30 will come with "a 18:9 ratio Full Vision display," which minimizes bezels to provide users with a wider screen.
The circles on the invitation also hint at the V30 coming with advanced camera features. The invitation had three words -- lights, camera, action -- in an apparent bid to promote the smartphone's camera feature.
Through teasers released earlier, the company said the organic light-emitting diode (OLED) Full Vision display will allow the 6-inch V30 to actually feel smaller in one's hands compared with the 5.7-inch LG V20. The company claimed it reduced the bezels at the top and bottom by 20 percent and 50 percent, respectively.
