Message Text: Sony Japan announced today a new portable recorder that supports "Power-Burn" with the codename "CRX85A". The drive is an external portable recorder that supports up to 20x writing (Z-CLV), 24x reading (CD) and 8x DVD! Also Sony supports that is the thinner and lighter portable recorder ever with only 18mm height and 230gr weight! The drive will start selling in Japan at 13th of October 2001 at an unknown price.

The drive with the combination of the 8MB of buffer and "Power-Burn" technology, can remember the exact position and timing, if an impact from outside is detected and stop recording! The drive will re-start recording after the shock and you will not face a coaster. Very impressive!
