The Yamaha IT Sales Division will represent at this year's "Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA)" in Berlin, high-quality products in the area of CD-RW drives. The highlights in the area of CD recording will be the innovative new high-speed compact CD-RW recorder CRW-70 and the CRW2200 series which has already been successfully launched onto the market.
You can see a complete series of pictures and specifications over here....
The CRW-70 by Yamaha is an example of state-of-the-art burner technology in a lightweight and practical format. Like the CRW2200 series, the CRW-70 also has all of the features required by burners today: fast technology with 12x writing speed, 8x rewriting, 24x reading and 24x audio extraction, Partial CAV (CAV = Constant Angular Velocity) writing method which writes data of maximum quality and without any "links", and SafeBurn technology offering 100% protection from buffer underruns. Recommended retail price: to be announced and available as of October 2001.
The compact CRW-70 avails of the new, ultra-fast USB 2.0 connection permitting high-speed CD recording. But the CRW-70 is also compatible with the USB 1.1 interface and can be used universally on PCs/laptops or as an MP3-/CD-player.
An overview of the features of the CRW-70: - Partial CAV writing method - Top speed of 12x writing, 8x rewriting and 24x reading - 24x high-fidelity audio extraction - SafeBurn - MP3/Audio CD playback function - USB 2.0 connection (USB 1.1-compatible) - Small and compact design |
