Teac Japan announced a new stand alone CD player and twin deck Audio CD copier with the codename "RW-D280". The drive supports both CD-R and CD-RW media, will hit the market around end of July at the price of 60,000 Yen ($481).
In details now, the drive's tray I is the CD player and tray II the CD-R/RW recorder. The dubbing speeds are 2X and 4X (CLV). The drive can write sampling frequencies of 32-44.1 kHz and converts 48 KHz down to 44.1 automatically. The digital and analogue sound recording levels can be adjusted in the range of the ±6dB (1dB step). In addition, tune number is marked automatically at the time of dubbing.
