"...Primera Technology today announced a version of its popular Composer Optical Disc Duplicator, Model 62008, that incorporates Pioneer’s new combination DVD-R/CD-R drive. This new drive offers DVD-R “General Purpose” (GP) recording capability as well as DVD-RW, CD-R, and CD-RW – all in a single drive. Primera Technology‘s integration of the DVR-A03 drive is the first in a commercially available disc publishing system that records and prints automatically.
“We’re pleased to be the first major disc duplicator manufacturer to offer Pioneer’s new DVD-R/CD-R drive in an automated recording and printing configuration,” said Mark D. Strobel, Primera Technology’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “With it, our customers can confidently purchase both DVD-R and CD-R recording technology in a single, automated solution. It insures that they’ve got all the format capability and versatility they’ll need for many years into the future.”
Composer, in its standard CD-R configuration, is one of the best-selling automated desktop duplicators available in the world today. Its precision robotics and advanced software completely automate the recording and disc surface printing of CD-Rs and DVD-Rs. Up to 50 discs per batch can be recorded and simultaneously printed on Composer. Optional 1200 dpi or 2400 dpi full-color printers from Primera Technology can easily be added to Composer. Composer DVD-R Model 62008 sells for US$3795 (MSRP), including professional mastering and duplication software for Windows-based PCs. It is available now from Authorized Resellers and Distributors in over 80 countries..."
