An exhibition takes place in Japan nowdays (June 27-29) with the name "Data Storage EXPO". Its the meeting place for all storage (both software and hardware) solutions, including optical and traditional storage. The show seems becoming an major point for all companies and includes presentation of several new models:
- TDK
In the TDK's booth new "DVR-BLUE" and "ML-R" media was presented. The DVR-BLUE media can hold up to 23GB (in only one side) and will be used with new coming "Blue Laser" enabled recorders. In future there are plans of increasing the capacity up to 40-50GB. Also new ML-R media was presented...The news are that there will be not only 12cm ML-R CDs (2GB) but also 8cm ML-R (650MB) and 6cm ML-R (200MB) CDs!
