Message Text: "...Plasmon announced leading edge technological enhancements to its CD and DVD libraries. These enhancements are the incorporation of DVD-Recorders and DVD-RAM drives as well as the revolutionary Rotation Station that allows the use of both sides of a 120 mm disc.

"The new 4.7GB DVD RAM drive replaces the present 2.6GB unit. The end user gets almost twice as much data storage for the money," said Kelly Scharf, Director of Product Marketing. "Another major change is the DVD-Recordable drives," Scharf said, "Many users require write-once technology and for those needs, Plasmon can offer the most economical write once products."

The greatest price-benefit is delivered via the new Rotation Station, an accessory which allows the use of both sides of the 9.4GB DVD RAM disc. "Capacity per slot exactly doubles and the Rotation Station adds only 10% to the retail price of the 480 disc unit," said Scharf. "In addition, current users of Plasmon's DVD units have the ability to install the Rotation Station on their current units.".."
