Acer will ship soon(?) a new CDR-W drive "CRW2010A" that supports 20x writing, 10x re-writing and 40x reading speed. We haven't got any news about the drive's shipping date/price for now...The drive supports "SeamLess-Link" and has the following features:
20X Writing, 10X Rewriting, 40X Reading 2MB Buffer Size Flash Memory / Upgrade System E-IDE / ATAPI Interface Popular Recording Software Package Anti-Vibration System Emergency Eject Dust protection design Power Saving Feature Writing Modes: Disc-at-once, Track-at-once, Multisession, Packet writing, Raw writing(!)
No information about the drive's 20x writing speed technology (P-CAV or Z-CLV). Have you noticed that Acer officially supports "Raw-writing"? ;-)
