This update resolves the "Windows 2000 SP2 Causes SCSI Bus Resets During Startup" issue on computers running Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2), and is discussed in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) Article Q297961. This issue exists because the disk.sys file does not communicate properly with certain SCSI devices.
