Message Text: Sony posted all the information about their latest 16x CDR-W drive (CRX168B). The drive supports 16x writing, 10x re-writing and 40x reading (CD). The connection interface is ATAPI (EIDE) and supports UDMA (ATA-33). The average access time is 125 ms (random) and the buffer 8MB, which means that there isn't any anti-coaster technology...It is also interesting that the Sony CRX168B ships "B's Recorder GOLD and B's CLiP (packet writing)" as the main CDR software! No information about the drive's possible price and shipping date is available until now.
