Sony's E3 presentation did not include many new announcements, but among the trailers and clips of already revealed games, the company unveiled a new "Spider-man" game for its Playstation video console.

"Spider-man", due for release in 2018, is being developed by Insomniac Games, the group behind PlayStation offerings such as "Resistance" and "Ratchet & Clank".

"The future is here and it's now with PlayStation 4 Pro and PS VR," said Shawn Layden, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment America, unveiling the "Spider-man" game.

PlayStation has had success in keeping the focus on gamers and what they like. PS4 models include a "Pro" console for powering ultra-high definition 4K graphics, and the entire line of consoles syncs with PlayStation VR gear.

Sony has sold more than 60.4 million PS4 consoles since they hit the market in November of 2013, the company revealed on Monday.

A PlayStation 'ecosystem' that includes online game communities, content and services had more than 70 million monthly active users as of the end of March, according to Sony.

Microsoft unveiled its Xbox One X on Sunday, billing it as the most powerful video console ever made. The $499 product ill be available worldwide on November 7.

Meanwhile, PS 4 Pro is priced at $399 and other models of the console can be bought for less.

PS4 software sales, led by critically acclaimed titles such as Horizon: Zero Dawn, also remain strong with more than 487.8 million copies sold at retail stores globally and through digital downloads on PlayStationStore as of June 11, 2017, according to Sony.

PS4's game portfolio will continue to expand this year with games including GUNDAM VERSUS (BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc.), DRAGON QUEST XI (SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD.), Gran Turismo Sport, and Everybody's Golf (SIE WWS). The independent development community will also continue to deliver a variety of new titles for PS4 including ABZ (505 Games) and Firewatch (Panic Inc.) .

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy reveals its MacGuffin in new story trailer

The Lost Legacy is the first Uncharted game to not star Nathan Drake, but our new heroes - Uncharted 2 treasure hunter Chloe Frazer and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End mercenary Nadine Ross - don't seem to be straying too far from the series' roots. This time they're after the tusk of Ganesh, which is presumably some kind of ancient treasure.

Days Gone

Sony showed off gameplay segment of Days Gone, it's upcoming open-world zombie survival game trailer. The clip showed off a quieter pace than earlier trailers, with some more stealth gameplay. It also show how players can harness the mindless hordes of zombies to their advantage.

Shadow of the Colossus is getting a PS4 HD remake in 2018

Sony also announced at E3 that the cult game "Shadow of the Colossus" will get a high-definition remake for PlayStation 4.

God of War coming early 2018

This game and the next "God of War" edition are set to be released next year. The game shifts the setting to Norse mythology and introduces Kratos' son Atreus to the series.

New Detroit: Become Human

David Cage's next narrative action game Detroit: Become Human got a new trailer as well, showing off some of the branching choices players can make. The new clip showed off a character named Marcus, as he leads other androids in a riot against their human makers. There is no hard release date yet.
