Message Text: "...VOB today announced the release of InstantCD/DVD 6, the newest version of its award-winning software for creating CDs and DVDs. InstantCD/DVD 6 is a high-end recording application that offers many features not available in other products, including a backup program, support for RAW copies, extensive audio features, Super VideoCD support, UDF packet writing, support for CD-R(W), DVD-RAM, and DVD-R devices, DVD Photo Album support, support for BURN-Proof and JustLink devices, and the ability to write to multiple recorders simultaneously.

New audio features include the ability to burn any type of MP3 file on the fly, an integrated CD artist/title database with over 1.5 million titles, and new audio effects such as volume adjustment and stereo balance for individual tracks, and normalization. Users can also clean up noisy audio tracks from vinyl or tape with the denoise feature. New video features include enhanced MPEG 1 compression, the ability to create SuperVideo CDs, and support for direct video capture from an installed video card. InstantCD/DVD 6 includes VOB's InstantBackup, which allows data to be backed up to CD-R(W), DVD-RAM, DVD-R, MO or Zip drives. InstantBackup features compression, encryption, and disc spanning, so that data can be backed up to multiple discs.

InstantCD/DVD 6 is also easier to use. The user interface has been completely redesigned for better navigation, with a new Starter application that launches automatically when a blank disc is inserted. The application also includes integrated Wizard and intelligent Agent features that help guide less experienced users through the recording process. InstantCD/DVD 6 is available now in the U.S. and worldwide with a suggested retail price of $79.99. Customers can purchase direct at www.vobinc.com or at their local retail computer outlet..."
