"...Fujitsu today introduced the GR710, a low-cost, compact disc array system positioned as the low-end model in Fujitsu's SAN-compatible GR700 series. The new model will be initially marketed in Japan and Asia-Pacific, with worldwide sales to follow. Based upon Fujitsu's storage system framework, the GR700 series of disk arrays were developed for open system environments.
The new disk array comes in a compact 3U height (approximately 13cm) cabinet, yet has a maximum memory capacity of 286GB. The adoption of a Fibre Channel drive interface enables high-speed data transmission of up to 100MB/second. Rack mount models allow the mounting of up to 10 units on a special-purpose rack for scalability of up to 2.8 terabytes, giving users enormous flexibility in choosing the configuration that best suits their needs..."
