Intel's powerful Atom Z34XX chip is powering the Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45, a US $1,600 luxury smartwatch.

The smartwatch, which runs Android Wear 2.0, uses Intel's Atom Z34XX, a smartphone chip. It also offers more than a day of power, packs 4GB of memory and is water resistance to 5ATM.

The luxury connected watch features the integration of TAG Heuer's Swiss watchmaking heritage and keeps users connected without sacrificing style through its customizable, modular design.

The smartwatch runs Android Wear 2.0, uses Intel's Atom Z34XX, a smartphone chip. The Atom processor extends the wearable's shelf life and adds processing power for artificial intelligence, a feature Google is building in Android Wear.

The watch has a 1.39-inch AMOLED touch screen, and modularity is a big selling point of the wearable. The smartwatch's heads, straps, and other parts can be easily swapped, and buyers have the option to pick up one of 56 versions. The smartwatch can be turned into a mechanical watch by replacing the head.

The all-metal watch supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Near Field Communications. This means that you can track workouts and navigate a route without being tethered to a smartphone, and also make contactless payments right from the wrist.

The watch display and companion app understand your plans for the day and assists in keeping their on track. If a you are behind, it will remind you when you are on your way - even if that's 15 minutes later than originally planned.

Available for Android users, the TAG Heuer Connected app helps users take full advantage of the watch's features. In addition, Google Voice control enables the wearer to communicate with it via voice, in addition to touchscreen capabilities.

The watch will be available in satin or polished grade 5 titanium with customization capabilities beginning March 14 at tagheuer.com, TAG Heuer stores, specialty watch stores and major retailers worldwide starting at $1,600.
