We had posted some days ago the news about Waitec's T-Rex (16/10/40) CDR-W drive. Today we got a similar email:
"...I've read your news about the T-Rex and I would like to add something. In Italy we have a big tax (20%) on many products so prices are greater then those you can find in other countries. In fact I've found that Sanyo BP4 is already on stores in USA and you can find it at even 299$ as you can see at www.pricewatch.com. For now you can find it only in one store, but probably we will soon see it in many more... Add to this that Artec (www.artec.it) which is the official italian distributor for Plextor and Waitec has a price for the T-Rex of about 360$ and 375$ (prices for end-customers not resellers) respectively for the bulk and retail version, and they usually have high prices for end-cutomers. Also, talking with their selling support, they told me that the T-Rex IS available now for resellers :)..."
