Message Text: "...TEAC today announces a new high- speed 8x8x32 USB CD-Rewriteable Drive. The company also announces that in addition to its complete line up of 8X and 4X drives, new SCSI and FireWire models of its popular 12x10x32 are scheduled to ship in December.

TEAC's latest 8x8x32 CD-RW drive both writes and rewrites at 1200KB per second (8X) and reads at a 4.8MB per second (32X) data transfer rate. High performance speeds, coupled with an 80ms average access time and 2MB data buffer, makes the new CD-RW an extremely efficient and reliable device for creating, copying and backing up CDs. In addition, the 8x8x32 boasts an MTBF (mean time between failure) of 100,000 POH (power on hours), proving its long-lasting performance and durability. The 8x8x32 is available as a complete kit that supports Windows 95/98/Me/NT and Windows 2000 Professional at an MSRP of $179.00..."
