"...Pioneer Europe announced today the availability of a new 10X SCSI DVD-ROM drive. The new DVD-U04S is the world's fastest SCSI drive proving Pioneer position as leader in DVD technology. With a transfer rate of 13.5MB/s (max.) and an average access time for DVD-ROM of 100ms (80ms for CD-ROM), compatibility with CD-DA/ROM/R/RW/Extra/Video CD and DVD-ROM/R/RW/VIDEO the drive is truly versatile with multiple possible applications.

Product Manager for Pioneer Europe's Multimedia Division (Optical), Chris Tampsett commented: "Again Pioneer is proudly leading the field.
