"...QPS (www.qps-inc.com) will introduce its new Que! Note 12x4x32 CD-RW external drive at MACWORLD Expo in New York City (Booth 373) this week. Que! Note is bundled with Adaptec's 32-bit PCMCIA SCSI-2 and is ideal for desktop publishing and data archiving. The drive is an excellent addition for MIDI and recording studios. Que! Note is currently available and priced at $499 MSRP.
The Que! Note can achieve a fast 160ms average random access time and burst transfer rates of 20MB/sec. The firmware and software drivers allow the user to master virtually any CD with the widest range of operating systems, including Windows 95, 98, 2000 and Mac OS. A 4MB buffer provides optimized management, less CPU utilization and consistent, reliable writing. The Que! Note CD-RW comes ready to install and is bundled with Toast for Apple systems, and Easy CD Creator and Direct CD for PC systems.
