Ricoh annoucned their new HS RW CDR-W drives and from their specs are a little different than Sanyo based drives (had 6x writing speed and not 8x RW writing speed):
Specs:
MP7120A (IDE) & MP7122SE (SCSI
Write Speeds: 2, 4, 6, 8, 12?CD-R)
2, 4, 10 (CDR-W)
Reading Speeds: 32x (CAV)
Writing modes: Disc At Once, Session At Once, Track At Once, Multi-Session, Packet Write
Buffer 4MB
Attached writing software is B.H.A."B`s Recoder GOLD Pro Windows"(Japanese).
- MP7120A is the ATAPI (intenal) drive. It will ship at July 7 and it's price estimated about 35,000Yen (331 US $)
- MP7122SE is the SCSI model (external). It will ship around August 10 and it's price estimated about 40,000Yen(380 US $).
