Message Text: Olympus expands its digital OM lineup today with the Olympus OM-D E-M10 II. The new model includes a 5-axis image stabilization system, a new 2.36 million dot OLED EVF and a 4K time lapse mode.

While retro OM styling is still alive and well in this iteration, the E-M10's body has seen a slight redesign over its EM-10 predecessor's and some controls have been re- arranged. The 16.1MP Live Mos sensor and TruePic VII of the OM-D E-M10 have been carried through to this model, as has a 3" 1.04M-dot tilting LCD. Recording at 1080/60p is offered, and the E-M10 II provides an 8.5 fps maximum burst rate as a slight upgrade over the E-M10's 8fps.

An external ECG-3 grip can be purchased separately, boasting a one-touch release lever for quick access to the battery and memory card.

The Olympus OM-D E-M10 II will be available in early September for $649.99 body only or $799.99 with M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ kit lens. The external grip, also available in September, will cost $59.99.
