"..I recently called Plextor and Adaptec about the new Easy CD Creator 4.0 and why or why not would the software work with my new drive and found out some interested things!

First Adaptec told me the the software does work with the drive but only at speeds at or lower then 4X. This had something to do with the way the software works with the speed calibration. They told me a fix would be out for this in the first update for there software.
