Message Text: ASUS' H97, H87, B85 and H81 Series motherboards are able to overclock the latest Intel Pentium Anniversary Edition processor (G3258), 4th-generation Intel Core K Series ('Haswell') and new 4th-generation Intel Core K Series ('Haswell Refresh') processors.

Typically overclocking is limited to the more expensive Z97 series motherboards, but ASUS has just announced new UEFI BIOS that unlocks overclocking on H97, H87, B85 and H81 series chipsets as well.

The new Intel Pentium Anniversary Edition (PAE) processors are inexpensive, unlocked dual-core CPUs that bring back budget overclocking to the Intel platform. They are perfect for beginners looking to learn OCing without risking a larger K-series investment.

When a compatible Pentium Anniversary Edition processor, 4th-generation or new 4th-generation Intel Core K Series processor is inserted into an ASUS H97, H87, B85 or H81 Series motherboard, the CPU?s overclocking potential will be detected automatically and the related tuning items to adjust the CPU ratio will appear in the UEFI BIOS.
