Message Text: Lenovo today announced the ThinkServer RS140, an entry-level single-processor 1U rack server designed for small-to-medium sized businesses (SMB) and remote office deployments.

It is available with a range of processor choices including the latest Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3 series processors, customizable options, and Intel AMT 9.0 for remote manageability.

Optionally, for additional cost savings, the RS140can be configured with Intel Core i3, Pentium, and Celeron family desktop processors. The RS140 supports up to 32GB of RAM and 8TB of internal storage, and comes equipped with one full-height, half-length x8 Gen 3 PCIe slot for optional RAID protection or network expansion. At 16.2 inches deep, it can be deployed in space constrained environments including wiring closets and two post racks.

The RS140 supports open network management standards and can be managed in a multi-vendor environment. Intel AMT provides secure remote access for diagnostics, maintenance and remote monitoring.

The ThinkServer RS140 is available now and starts at $549.
