Message Text: Next week, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics will make official its next flagship Android-based smartphone, the LG G3, and we have gathered some of the latest rumors about the device.

LG is expected to release the phone on May 27. It will most probably come with a 5.5-inch 2560x1440 screen, as well as with a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 3,000mAh battery. The phone is also said to pack a 13-megapixel camera on the back, with 4K video recording capabilities, as well as a front camera for video calling. It will run under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

LG is also said to use a laser-based focusing system in the G3. According to The Verge, the G3 will use the laser in a similar way to the second camera on the HTC One M8, next to its 13-megapixel OIS+ camera, sensing the depth of a subject reducing the time between the user pressing the shutter button in the camera app, and when the image is taken. The camera will also use gesture recognition with its 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, automatically taking a self portrait when the user clenches their fist in front of the device.

LG has also released three teaser videos on its Korean website, which give a clear view of the G3's rear, showing it to have a brushed metal casing.

The smartphone will also ship at the same time as the QuickCircle case, a cover for the phone with a circular window, allowing users to read notifications and perform a variety of functions without removing the cover.

Verizon Wireles, T-Mobile and Sprint will be offering the device in the U.S.
