A new range of smartphones developed by different manufacturers based on Google's new specifications as part of the new Android Silver program in not expected to appear earlier than 2015, according to a new report.
Google's new project, which is said to be designed to replace the current Nexus line of pure Android smartphones and tablets, will find its way to new devices in February 2015, according to @evleaks.
The result of the Android Silver project will be a range of phones that use premium materials inside and out and offer a greater user experience. According to information that could be still treated as rumors, the devices will be offered with support that will make setting them up simple, and only five devices will be allowed to be branded as Silver editions at any one time.
If the timeline reported by @evleaks is correct, the Nexus 5 handset would be the last phone to carry the Nexus branding. On the other hand, the latest build of Chrome's source code mentions both the Nexus 6 phone and Nexus 8 tablet.
