MSI™ today announces the K1-1000, applicable for the computation of IU rack mount servers in computer rooms, in addition to the introduction of the K8D Master to the server mainboard market, the dual AMD Opteron 64™- K8T Master2 focuses on the high-performance workstation mainboard market, and the K8T Master1 mainboad supports the signal chip AMD Opteron 64™. Besides assisting corporate accounts and users to build a highly reliable server platform, it also demonstrates the superior research and development capability of MSI™.
The MSI™ K1-1000 supports dual or signal AMD Opteron 64™ processors and adopts the AMD 8131 PCI-X HUB and AMD-8111 I/O BRIDGE chipsets as a brand new product specially developed for high-density computer rooms and the rack mount market. Besides featuring high reliability, the MSI™ K1-1000 adopts the dual high-performance AMD Opteron 64 processor to greatly enhance overall system performance.
The MSI™ K1-1000 1U Rack Mount Server Mainboard adopts a specail rack-mount design, and uses a high-precision circuit design to separate signals and electronic circuits according to the properties of frequency, and thus greatly enhances the stability and performance of the K1-1000. In addition, the strict signal simulation and the superior heat dissipation solution design for overall system performance aslo maximizes the performance of the K1-1000 in a very limited 1U space.
The MSI™ K1-100 server of 800MHz Front Side Bus (800 FSB) has built-in slots to support two ports of Gigabit LAN controllers and 2 sets of PCI-X, and provides a high-speed Ultra SCSI 320 transmission interface (Optional). The design with six PC2700 DIMMs can support up to 12GB of Registers memory
Further, the MSI™ K1-1000 server also supports the latest µStar® Server Managenent function developed by MSI™, and the µStar® Server Managenent includes MMS (MSI™ Server Management Suite) server management solution, that carries out the remote control and surveillance functions of the Server Management through a MSI™ proprietary server management software, iConsole. These new functions collocate with MSI™'s high-performance and highly reliable server products and empower the MSI™ K1-1000 1U Rack Mount Server to assist enterprises to successfully build a complete, fast, and reliable server computating platform.
