SAMSUNG Electronics has provided a boost to business professionals with the company's additions to its Digit A ll Office range. Key to the portfolio is the Sens X30, a new notebook PC, together with a number of other leading products: the SyncMaster 403T, the industry's first 40 -inch TFT-LCD monitor and the CLP -500 colour laser printer.
The capabilities of the X30 will meet the increasing demands of consumers eager to make maximum use of the notebook PC both in and out of their offices. Building upon the success of the first Centrino notebook PC X10, SAMSUNG designed X30 to meet users ' entertainment needs while taking advantage of Centrino technology ' s long battery life and wireless communication capability. The 15.4-inch LCD of X30 features wide aspect ratio in WXGA, or WSXGA+ resolutions. The wide aspect ratio creates more screen space for various tasks, especially for DVD film viewing.
The beautiful screen is powered by a powerful graphics engine. Equipped with nVidia ' s new GeForce FX graphics chip with up to 64 megabytes of dedicated graphics memory, the X30 is one of the best graphics performers in its class. There are a host of connectivity options which enables easy, high speed connections with various peripherals. Along with 802.11b Wi-Fi adaptor, the X30 is equipped with three USB 2.0, IEEE1394, S-Video out, VGA out, and optical digital audio out ports. The battery life of the model (with long-life batteries lasting seven hours) positions the X30 at the forefront of the sector.
The X30 will be available with a wide range of configurations with CPU speed from 1.4 to 1.8Ghz (Centrino), HDD capacity from 30 to 80 Gigabytes, and maximum memory of 2 Gigabytes.
All this power is remarkably easy to carry around. Weighing only 2.4 kilograms and only 26.2mm thin, it is one of the thinnest and lightest among the comparable models.
The needs of the modern business professional demands picture-perfect quality and this is a key feature of the 40-inch LCD monitor, the Syncmaster 403T allowing users to work with high-end graphics displays, digital signage and presentation display applications. The 403T features a slim form factor and uses its own patented Patterned Vertical Alignment (PVA) technology to achieve a 170 degree viewing angle in all directions. This technology provides ultra-clear and razor-sharp images even under bright light.
Lack of durability is a common complaint among many consumers but this is not the case with the 403T, with a life expectancy of 60,000 hours. The model's low power consumption (220watt) and virtually noise-free (0 db) operation underlines again the impressive features of this 40-inch monitor.
For easy installation and optimum configuration, the 403T has built-in Plug and Play capability that conforms to the Video Electronics Standards Association's (VESA) Display Data Channel Type 1/2B standards.
SAMSUNG is also introducing its CLP-500 color laser printer to accommodate the growing demand for color laser printers in office environment. This is one of the top-performers in its category, capable of printing 20 pages of black and white or 5 pages of color per minute. With the optional paper tray, the CLP-500 can handle up to 850 sheets at a time. The USB 2.0 connection and built-in memory expandable up to 192 megabytes ensure even the heaviest load is handled promptly. The CLP-500 is very easy to use.
The built-in LCD status monitor, the quick-toner change design, the one-touch duplex printing make this an ideal choice for a demanding business environment. With optional 802.11b and Ethernet connections and the embedded parallel port, CLP-500 can work with virtually all networks.
The printer is not only user friendly but also whisper quiet. SAMSUNG's proprietary technology controls the noise level at mere 48 decibels. At this noise level, the CLP-500 series helps keep the working environment serene. Last but not the least, the CLP-500 is one of the most economical models in its class. |
