Message Text: Chinese major news organizations have developed online search engine Chinaso.com, which aired on Friday.

Chinaso.com will feature Chinese articles fro the country's newspapers and magazines, allowing users to search for them online.

Besides news, the search engine covers websites, pictures, videos and maps, with 16 channels ranging from economy to sports and applications for mobile users.

The search engine was developed by China''s four major newspapers, two news agencies and state television. Among the founders are People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency and China Central Television.

Actually Chinaso.com is a consolidation of Jike.com, started by People's Daily in 2010 and Panguso.com, begun by Xinhua in 2011. Both search engines have a very limited share in the Chinese search engine market, which is dominated by Baidu.com.
