Message Text: Amazon is rumored to release a smartphone this year and a Taiwanese analyst predicts that the device will feature a total of 6 camera modules, used to detect user's motion and gestures.

Mingchi Kuo, an analyst of Taiwan-based investment company KGI Securities Investment Advisory estimates that Amazon's smartphone will use four camera modules for gesture-based control and additional two for user interfaces (UIs) that detect the user's motions. He predicts that the phone will come with main 13 Mpixels camera module and a secondary 2-Mpixel one made by Sony (images sensor) Primax and LiteOn (module), along with four additional 0.3 Mpixel cameras with images sensors made by Omnivision. He even estimates that the 6 camera modules will cost Amazon US$40-50 per phone.

Huos also sees a 4.7" (300-320 PPI) screen and a Qualcomm MSM8974AC SoC under the hood - the same SoC ued by the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone.

Kuo expects that Amazon's smartphone will be shipped in the second quarter of 2014.
