Message Text: IBM today announced it received six awards across its software portfolio for its leadership in enterprise content management from Transform Magazine, the CMP Media publication that serves those choosing, managing and using content and collaboration technologies. IBM was recognized for its excellence in Content/Document Management, Digital Asset Management, Records Management, Business Process Management, Portals and Teamware.

IBM's recognition of DB2 Content Manager and DB2 Records Manager, in addition to offerings from WebSphere and Lotus, reinforces IBM's commitment to delivering to customers the most comprehensive software portfolio in the industry.
v Out of a field of more than 261 software and hardware products, readers nominated 38 winners in 19 categories covering everything from content/document management systems and digital asset management to electronic forms software and scanners. To ensure a fair, one-vote-per-reader process among more than 50,000 eligible subscribers, Transform relied on a tightly controlled, Web-based voting system employing unique subscriber ID numbers.

The awards were presented at CMP Media's TechXNY, a week-long business technology showcase incorporating PC Expo and taking place at the Javits Center in New York City (for more details, visit www.techxny.com).

IBM won in the following categories: DB2 Content Manager won in both the Content/Document Management category and in the Digital Asset Management category, and DB2 Records Manager won in the Records Management category. Additionally, IBM WebSphere MQSeries won for Business Process Management; IBM WebSphere Portal won for Portals and IBM Lotus QuickPlace won for Teamware.

Customers are increasingly looking for ways to leverage their existing business assets in an effort to make their business operations more efficient and cost-effective, and reach customers and suppliers faster. IBM's content information management offerings play a critical role in this business transformation, enabling customers to capture critical business assets in digital format and manage them throughout their entire lifecycle. IBM is extending its lead in content management by delivering the most comprehensive software offerings to manage all forms of information across the enterprise and link it to core business processes, including Web application integration, Web content publishing and rich media.
