 Lenovo To Buy Google's Handset Unit: report

Message Text: China's Lenovo is expected to annnounce a deal with Google to buy the search giant's Motorola handset division, Reuters reported on Wednesday.

The report says that Chinese Lenovo is in the final stages of talks to buy the Google division, which includes smartphones Moto X and Moto G as well as certain patents.

Google acquired Motorola Mobility in order to strengthen its 3G and 4G/LTE patent portofolio. The report adds that an official announcement by Google and Lenovo is expected this week.
