Message Text: Toshiba's Electronic Devices Group introduced CEATEC 2013 visitors to the first USB and microUSB adaptor module supporting TransferJet, the close proximity wireless data transfer technology, that will go on sale in December.

The micro-USB adapter plugs into your smartphone, enabling faster-than-Bluetooth data speeds over a distance of a few centimeters.

The adapter will also feature a TransferJet embedded SDHC memory card and FlashAir SDHC memory card with embedded wireless LAN functionality.

The pair of adapters will cost around 10,000 yen ($100).

Toshiba is planning to get its TransferJet tech embedded within smartphones and other products in the future.
