Message Text: 'Grand Theft Auto V', the latest installment in the billion-dollar video game franchise, lands on Tuesday.

The highly anticipated GTA V features bank robber Michael de Santa, who is looking to get back into the game. He's joined by two other characters who sign on for ever-more complicated heists.

The new game lands on Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3, rated for ages 17-up. (Price: $60).

2001's Grand Theft Auto IIIh as been deemed the best-selling action-adventure video game series by Guinness World Records.

In the meantime, a gamer who had retportedly got his hands on an early copy of GTA V ahead of its launch was banned from Xbox Live, after he had made short Vine videos of the game and published them online. With his Gamertag clearly left visible in at least one of the videos he made, Microsoft had no problem to ban his Xbox console for life from Xbox Live.

And Amazon.co.uk delivered Grand Theft Auto V preorders to customers in the UK in advance of its September 17th release. Some customers reported receiving shipping notifications over the weekend, with additional reports suggesting the game had made it to some doorsteps as early as Saturday.

Amazon says it is investigating these early sales.
