 Intel Releases New Haswell and Ivy Bridge Processors

Message Text: Intel Corp. has updated its desktop and mobile processor offer with a bunch of new Haswell and Ivy Bridge models.

For the desktop, Intel's new CPUs incldue the the 3.5 GHz Core i7-4771, four Core i5 chips priced at $182, new Core i3s going from 2.9 GHz to 3.6 GHz, new Pentium chips, plus a couple of Ivy Bridge-based Celerons:





Intel also made available a dozen new (Haswell) mobile CPUs. These include a quad-core version as well as eleven dual-cores. Below you can see four Core i7 models, five Core i5s, and three Celerons:



Intel is expected to release its Bay Trail-T platform as well as its high-end Ivy Bridge-E series processors at Intel Developer Forum (IDF), which will be hosted from September 10-12 in San Francisco.

The company will release Ivy Bridge-E-based 6-core Core i7-4960X (3.6GHz), Core i7-4930K (3.4GHz) and quad-core Core i7-4820K (3.7GHz) processors with TDP of 130W. The three processors will adopt the LGA 2011 socket and support the X79 chipset, DDR3 memory and the PCI-Express Gen 3.0.

These 22nm processors will also reportedly come "un-locked", offering room for overclocking.
