ASUS today announced four new desktop PCs with the
latest 4th generation Intel Core processors for
productivity and entertainment.
The G10 and M51 are floor-standing PCs; while the ET2311
and ET2702 are slimline All-in-One PCs with 23-inch and
27-inch widescreen displays, respectively. All four
models also feature NVIDIA and AMD discrete 3D graphics,
with ASUS SonicMaster audio technology.
The G10 and M51 Desktop PCs come with the latest 4th generation Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics. The G10 comes with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 graphics with 3D Vision Surround, and support for up to four monitors.
ASUS G10 and M51 desktop PCs feature the ASUS Universal Storage Module (USM), a hot-swap drive bay (hard drive not included) that makes it easy to add and share high-capacity storage. The industry-standard USM interface is around twice as fast as USB 3.0 and cartridge-based drives can be also connected to any computer via a USB adapter.
Both models also feature the ASUS Smart Cooling
System with automatic fan speed control and ASUS Power
Pack, a removable UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
that also acts as a portable battery pack for recharging
smartphones and tablets.
Both the G10 and M51 are housed in floor-standing tower
cases. The G10 has clean lines with a brushed metal
finish and indicator LEDs that reflect the state of
attached external USB storage devices, while the M51 has
a matte finish with a textured fascia that resists
fingerprints. The M51 also features an ASUS Wireless
Charger tray for wireless recharging of smartphones and
tablets that support the Qi inductive power standard.
Designed to handle the entertainment and productivity needs, the ASUS ET2702 All-in-One PC features a 27-inch IPS widescreen display with 178-degree wide viewing angles and optional 10-point multi-touch.
The ET2702 also features AMD Radeon HD 8890A discrete graphics, USB 3.0 ports, optional Intel Thunderbolt ports and an exclusive Device Share mode for increased
flexibility in households with more than one
Windows-based PC. With a notebook connected with an HDMI
and USB cable, ET2702 becomes a desktop dock, giving the
notebook full access to its display, speakers and USB
peripherals. Intel Thunderbolt ports are also optionally
available for use with next-generation peripherals and
storage devices.
The ET2702 can connect to three external monitors at once. HDMI-in/out ports mean the ET2702 can be used as a WQHD display for Blu-ray players and game consoles, and can connect to an HDTV for big-screen entertainment.
With a space-saving design, the ET2311 All-in-One PC is
addressed to home users who want a compact and powerful
PC with a larger screen than a notebook, and
professional users who lack the space for a traditional
desktop PC. The ET2311 features a 23-inch widescreen
display with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and
optional five-point multi-touch.
The ASUS G10, M51, ET2702 and ET2311 PCs all feature USB
ports with ASUS Ai Charger technology for recharging of
smartphones and tablets. All models also feature
enhanced audio from ASUS SonicMaster technology. The
ET2702 and ET2311 are also optionally available with a
desktop subwoofer for extended bass performance.
All four new PCs also come with exclusive bundled ASUS
applications, including ASUS Launcher for faster
launching of frequently used apps, MusicMaker for music
composition and Video Easy for professional
video-editing results in record time. 32GB of ASUS
WebStorage is also included free for three years for
cloud-based syncing and sharing of files.
ASUS also today announced the BM1 and BP1 commercial desktop PCs with Haswell processors and integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 graphics. Both PCs feature the ASUS Business Suite 2.0 system management tool, while the BM1AE and BP1AE variants offer Intel vPro technology for remote management for larger businesses. Both the BM1 and BP1 also feature tool-less designs for easy upgrades and maintenance.
Based on ASUS-designed utilities and Intel Small Business Advantage (SBA) platform, ASUS Business Suite 2.0 is a combination of software designed for small businesses without a managed network. ASUS Easy Update II keeps BIOS and drivers up-to-date, USB Blocker provides unauthorized data acquisition and transfers, and Secure Delete for irrecoverable data deletion. ASUS Business Suite 2.0 also features the exclusive ASUS Energy Processing Unit (EPU) for optimized energy efficiency.
The desktop PCs have VGA, DVI-I and two DisplayPort video outputs. A combination of two DisplayPort and either VGA or DVI-I outputs support up to three displays without the need for an additional graphics card. Optional serial and parallel ports provide legacy support for a wide range of business peripherals like dot-matrix printers and barcode readers.
Both the ASUS BM1 and BP1 desktops feature security features for users. ASUS AI Security protects data from unauthorized access and virus attacks by restricting user access to selected data and files, and by disabling the ability to save data to external storage devices and optical drives. Both PCs also feature an onboard Trusted Platform Module for secure management of encrypted data and hardware authentication. For physical security, both desktops feature a Kensington lock and padlock slot, as well as a Chassis Intrusion Alert. |
