Amazon's e-readers and tablets are expected to reach China as early as June 7.

Sina Tech reported that the Kindle Paperwhite backlit e-reader with wi-fi will retail in China for 849 yuan ($138), while an entry-level Kindle Fire HD 7-inch tablet will cost 1400 yuan ($228). The larger, 8.9-inch model, will retail for 1500 yuan ($245), accordig to the Chinese web site.

The devices will be mada available directly from Amazon.com's website as well as from Chinese electronics retailer Suning Appliance.

Amazon has already launched a Chinese version of its app store on May 3, offering both free and paid-for Android apps.
