Japan Display Inc. (JDI), the company created by Sony, Toshiba and
Hitachi, today announced the merger of its subsidiaries in Japan.
JDI commenced its operation on April 1, 2012 with the business
integration of the following wholly-owned subsidiaries: Japan Display
West Inc., previously Sony Mobile Display Corporation; Japan Display
Central Inc., previously Toshiba Mobile Display Co., Ltd.; and Japan
Display East Inc., previously Hitachi Displays, Ltd. As of April 1, 2013,
these subsidiaries are fully integrated within JDI.
JDI saiys that the new new business organization will help to strengthen
its global position in small- and mid-size display market. |
