Netflix said on Tuesday that it has restored its streaming service after an outage reported on Christmas eve.

The outage affected the company's customers in the Americas starting around 12:30 p.m. PST on Monday. Netflix said that the issue was related to problems with Amazon Web Services, although it has not provided furhter details.

Amazon Web Services provides companies with online storage and computing.

Amazon also confirmed that problems with its service have also now been fixed.
