Message Text: Fujitsu Ltd., Sony Corp. and Taiwan's Asustek Computer Inc are among Sharp's clients for advanced IGZO liquid crystal display panels, Japan-based sources familiar with the matter said Saturday.

Sharp has already announced that its IGZO panels would be used by Japanese companies, although the company had not mentioned details.

Sharp's IGZO LCD panels will be used in the Japanese and Taiwanese electronics makers' personal and tablet computers to be introduced in 2013, the report said.

The Osaka-based firm, which is aiming to turn its business around by expanding IGZO panel sales, is already in talks to supply the display to such companies as Hewlett-Packard and Dell.

Sharp's IGZO displays consume much less power than conventional LCD displays, they are thinner, they have a highly-sensitive touch screen, and boast very high definition.
BR> Earlier this month, Qualcomm announced an $120 million investment in Sharp, a cash injection that made the U.S. company the struggling Japanese TV maker's biggest shareholder.
