Message Text: Confirming previous reports, Samsung will unveil a smaller version of its best seller Galaxy S III smartphone in Europe on Thursday.

The model will feature a 4-inch screen and according to rumors, instead of the Quad-core CPU of the Galaxy S III it runs runs on a dual-core CPU with 1GHz. Other specifications include 5MP camera, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, MicroUSB port and 1500mAh battery. Measuring at 121.55x62.95x9.85mm, the Galaxy S III Mini is more a mid-range Android phone rather a direct compatiroe to Apple's iPhne 5, which also comes with a 4-inch display.

Samsung hopes that the new 4-inch model will be popular in the European market.

The Galaxy S III Mini will be unveiled during a press conference in Germany on Thursday, October 11th.

In related news, Samsung seems to not plan to use its 4G LTE patents to attack its rivals including Apple, Yonhap news agency reported today.
