Message Text: LG has just released in S. Korea a portable photo printer that can print photos taken by your smartphone by taking advantage of the Near Field Communications (NFC) technology.

Sized at 7.2 x 12.1 x 2.4 cm and with a weight of just 212g, the compact device fits in your pocket and can be carried with you along with your Android NFC-enabled smartphone. Any picture shot with your phone can be wirelessly transmitted to the printer through Bluetooth or NFC and be immediately printed at a size of 2 x 3 inches.

The printer takes advantage of Zink Technology so no ink is required in order to print. ZINK stands for Zero Ink - a new way to print in full color without the need for ink cartridges or ribbons. At the heart of the technology is ZINK Paper which looks like regular white photo paper before printing. Heat from a ZINK-enabled device activates the color-forming chemistry within the ZINK Paper, forming all the colors of the rainbow. The price of a single pack of Xink Paper (10 sheets) costs in S. Korea about 5,000 won ($4.9).

Filters and photo editing picture options are provided by an Android app than can be downloaded from Google Play.

The printer can be charged though your 5-pin charging phone charger.

The device will be available in S. Korea athis month and will be priced at 189,000 won ($170).
