Message Text: A copy of the final version of Windows 8 leaked to the Internet on Thursday, just a day after Microsoft said the new operating system was finished and was released to manufacturers (RTM)

Identified as Windows 8 Enterprise N on file-sharing websites, the file seems to be legitimate, according to users' reports.

The copy is an English-language version, but according to the file-sharing sites is non-booting, meaning pirates must create installation media.

"Leaks" of upcoming Windows releases have been happened in the past with Windows 7 OS, when pirated copies appeared before the official launch of the OS.

Some users will be able to obtain a non-pirated copy of Windows 8 as soon as Aug. 15, when the RTM reaches the MSDN and TechNet services.

Windows 8 will launch Oct. 26, with two editions in retail -- Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro -- and another, the Enterprise edition.
