 Fujitsu Releases Fingerprint Sensor Smartphone, Panasonic Shoots With New Lumix LX7

Message Text: New products released earlier this week inlcude the Fujitsu Arrow Z ISW13F smartphone, the Panasonic Lumix SZ5 and LX7, and the Sony Walkman E470 Series.

Starting with Fujitsu's flagship Arrow Z ISW13F smartphone, it comes equipped with a proprietary fingerprint sensor that enables users to unlock the phone's screen without a password. The device also features a 4.6" screen HD LCD, 13.1MP camera, WiMAX communications, a 1.5GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, DLNA connectivity, and is water- and dust-resistant. The Arrow Z ISW13F will be available in Japan beginning July 20.

Panasonic released the Lumix SZ5 (also known as the DMC-SZ5) camera, which makes it easy to shoot and share photos with your friends. Smartphone owners can pair the camera with their handset or an available WiFi hotspot for on-the-go photo uploads to social media sites. There's also an iPhone and Android app that can be used to remotely trigger the shutter. The 14.1MP camera has a 10x optical zoom, a 3" LCD screen, a 25mm ultra wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens, 1280x720 at 30p video recording, and loads of built-in camera effects. The SZ5 is priced at €200.

The retro-style Panasonic Lumix LX7 fits in your pocket while offering full SLR-like manual controls. The camera comes with updated F1.4 lens optics, a new 1/1.7-inch 10.1-megapixel MOS Sensor, a 24mm ultra-wide angle lens with 3.8x optical zoom, a 3 " LCD screen, and 16 different filter options. Priced at €450, it will be available around September.

Sony?s Walkman E470 Series is the company?s thinnest ever (7.0 mm). It comes a 2" LCD screen, a range of different games and a karaoke mode with synchronized song lyrics. The E470 will be available from July 18 in Europe and from August in the US, priced at $79.99.

Also new from Sony is the F800 Walkman. With Android 4.0, the new F800 Series incorporates Sony's exclusive digital audio fidelity technologies and it is powered by Android 4.0 OS, offering a range of pre-installed apps, from email to maps and media gallery. It has also a 3.5-inch multi-touch screen and offers powerful performance with NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor.

The 16G F800 Series will retail for about $269.99 and the 32G will retail for about $299.99.
