Message Text: GIGABYTE is introducing its 7 series motherboards featuring Thunderbolt technology along with the GTX680 SOC graphics card and the X11, U2442 and U2440 notebooks.

Supporting simultaneous connectivity for multiple devices using a bi-directional 10Gbps data pipeline, GIGABYTE Thunderbolt motherboards support the latest 3rd generation Intel Core processors, with exclusive features including GIGABYTE All Digital Power and GIGABYTE UEFI DualBIOS with its GIGABYTE 3D BIOS graphical interface.

The top of the line Thunderbolt models include the "GA-Z77X-UP4 TH" and the "GA-Z77X-UP5 TH".

Also previewed at Computex 2012 were New X79S platform motherboards which are the ideal platform for workstation builds.



GIGABYTE also introduced their latest Ultra Durable 5 technology, featuring a range of high current capable components including 60A IR3550 PowIRstage ICs. The motherboard technology also includes high current capable components for the CPU power zone including 2X Copper PCB and high current Ferrite Core Chokes rated up to 60A which together are able to deliver up to 60C cooler temperatures than traditional motherboards.

The new technology is featured on a range of new motherboards based the Intel X79 and Z77 Express Chipsets.

Graphics cards

GIGABYTE has also on display the GeForce GTX 680 Super Overclock Edition which is built with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 GPU and features the patented WINDFORCE 5X cooling technology. The card is equipped with a cooler capable of dissipating 500 W of heat. The cooler features five 40mm fans, nine heatpipes, and a vapor chamber.

Furthermore, GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 680 SOC, designed with GIGABYTE Extreme Dual BIOS technology, is equipped with GIGABYTE's GPU Gauntlet Sorting process and Ultra Durable VGA or VGA+ boards.



Notebooks

GIGABYTE's notebook line includes the lightest Carbon Notebook X11, Extreme Ultra Book U2442 and Gaming Notebook P2542G. The X11, as world?s lightest 11.6" full carbon fiber notebook, weighs only 975g and just 3mm to 16.5mm thick. The carbon fiber material keeps X11 incredibly lightweight and durable at the same time. Powered by the 3rd Generation Intel Core i5/i7 processor, X11 comes equipped with a 128GB SSD with quick startups and speedy transmission.

Also showcased was the 14" U2442 Ultrabook, which thinnest part is 1.85cm and comes with a 3rd generation Intel Core i5 / i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M / GT 640M GPU.
