Apple seems to be investigating WiFi related issues with the new iPad.
A very long thread on Apple's online forums includes many reports related to the new iPad and issues such as an inability to pick up local WiFi networks, connection drops or slow download and upload speeds.
The online discussions seem to have been heard by Apple as the company has published an AppleCare document internally, that indicates that it is investigating the issues.
In the document, obtained by
9to5Mac
, Apple tells AppleCare employees to ensure that devices they test are not facing these issues due to normal software bugs, but instead because of the actual hardware components.
According to Apple it is the WiFi-only iPad that are affected by the issue.
iPads that are affected by WiFi issues are supposed to be packed up and shipped to Apple?s engineering centers for examination and investigation.
