Message Text: Prototypes of the highly-anticipated Apple TV have already reached Canada as broadband providers Rogers Wireless and Bell Canada Enterprises are reportedly in talks with Apple to become Canadian launch partners for its Apple "iTV."

According to a report on the newspaper The Globe and Mail, the new TVs will feature voice-control through Siri, gesture control and video chat, along with an on-screen keyboard.

Apple has sent out the prototypes of its "iTV" device to help it cut deals with local internet providers, says The Globe.

Television remains an area of technology Apple has yet to conquer, and rumours about Apple's next big thing centre largely on the concept of a big-screen television that would essentially put a large-screen iPad in living rooms around the world.

Rogers is Canada's largest cellphone. Bell had 7.4 million subscribers and 2.9 million broadband customers in 2010.
