Message Text: DaTARIUS, a leader in test equipment for the optical disc industry, as introduced a new device to enable fast testing for CD/DVD and Blu-ray disc media, the DaTARIUS iDS offline instantDetectionSystem.

DaTARIUS also aimed at producing an affordable product - compared to the company's high-end Pro equipment - as an alternative to high-end reference systems to serve smaller businesses, too.

The system checks the discs and shows you exactly where the error is located. You can find and watch the defective areas by simply using the included playback function together with the sector address viewer to play any kind of videos or music.

Compared to other products of this kind iDS is much faster (CD up to 48x, DVD up to 16x and Blu-ray up to 8x) in finding defective areas.

Measured Signals incldue the basics: Jitter, LDC, LDCk, BIS, FE, TE for Blu-ray discs, Jitter, PIE, PIF, FE, TE for DVDs and Jitter, BLER, E32, FE, TE for CDs.

The new system retails for about €11,000.
