Mozilla has released its latest browser update, Firefox 9, which features a tweak in its Javascript engine and improves theme integration and swipe navigation for Mac OS X users.

According to Mozilla, the addition of Type Inference boosts the browser's benchmark performance by over 30 percent. Firefox 9 also adds improves theme integration and adds two finger swipe navigation for Mac OS X Lion users. Other improvements include support for querying Do Not Track status via JavaScript; support for font-stretch; improved support for text-overflow; improved standards support for HTML5, MathML, and CSS.
