Message Text: Following on Google's release of Android 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich" (ICS) source code last week, Nvidia provided an early demo of ICS running on the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime.

Asus' new tablet is powered by Nvidia's quad-core Tegra 3 processor.

Recorded on Nov. 16th, two short days after the source code for ICS was made publicly available, the video below shows the next-gen Android OS user interface looking clean and snappy on the Transformer Prime. It includes 1080p video playback and quick demo of the quad-core optimized Riptide GP game.

The Transformer Prime will ship with Android Honeycomb, Google's first operating system built specifically for tablets. An upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich is planned for sometime after the model's launch.

The new tablet's display will have a high-definition resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, one gigabyte of RAM, an eight-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, a microSD card slot for added storage and an HDMI port for connecting the tablet to an HDTV.

Asus has said the Transformer Prime will hit stores in early December and start at $499 with 32 gigabytes of built-in storage and $599 for a 64-gigabyte model.
